Mural Ruda

This mural was created for the opening of the second location of the Ruda bookstore and café, a project of Republicanas Populares, an anti-militarist feminist organization that, through education and popular communication, contributes to the construction of critical thinking and the generation of collective political practices to eradicate the hegemonic, colonial model of sex, class, and race.
The location was opened in partnership with Cooperativa Confiar in Bello, Antioquia.

La inspiración principal de la obra es la planta de ruda y su florecimiento, símbolo ancestral de protección, sanación y sabiduría heredada.
The mural seeks to visually uphold the values embodied by this space: care, reflection, resilience, and encounter.
Through organic shapes, enveloping lines, and a warm color palette, the work invites viewers to inhabit the space with calmness, collective memory, and hope.
